Muvment

Muvment host terms

The terms for hosting your vehicle on Muvment, for both daily hosts and monthly hosts.

Last updated July 2026

Overview

Muvment is operated by Autogirl Limited. There are two ways to host, and different terms apply to each.

  • Daily hosts keep and manage their vehicle, provide a driver and fuel, and earn per booking. This is governed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
  • Monthly hosts hand their vehicle to Autogirl to manage for a fixed period and earn a fixed monthly amount. This is governed by a Fleet Management Contract.

Daily hosts

As a daily host you provide your vehicle in good working condition, suitable for road or sea use, on request. Where required, you also provide a driver. Unless agreed otherwise, each vehicle comes with at least half a tank of fuel when refuelling is your responsibility.

Payment

  • Lagos and non-luxury vehicles: payment for each completed service is made within 72 hours after the service ends.
  • Other states, boats, and luxury vehicles: payment is made before the service.
  • Payments are processed on weekdays only, not weekends. We notify you promptly by email, phone, or your preferred channel if there is any delay.

Pricing and availability

  • Pricing is set by Autogirl in most cases, based on the year, brand, model, demand, and type of vehicle, and may be adjusted with market trends such as fuel-price changes. We notify you of adjustments.
  • You may propose prices only for luxury vehicles, boats, and non-Lagos states, and only before a trip is assigned. Extreme proposals may be declined, and if pricing is not updated in time the previous pricing stays in effect.
  • Update your availability daily, either through your assigned Autogirl agent or the Muvment dashboard calendar. The default status for all vehicles is available.
  • If you receive a booking, you must honour it. If your vehicle becomes unavailable, notify us immediately, before a job is assigned.

Penalties and cancellations

  • Late pickup: a penalty of up to NGN 10,000 per hour of lateness is deducted from your earnings.
  • Late cancellation (less than 24 hours' notice): a fine of 15% of the booking fee, plus a full refund to the client.
  • Vehicle breakdown: up to 80% deduction where the vehicle was not well maintained and no replacement was provided within an hour.
  • Driver misdemeanour: up to 100% deduction of the booking price.
  • Sending a wrong or non-onboarded driver or vehicle without informing us: up to 50% deduction.
  • Non-delivery or substandard service: if we lose revenue or must refund a client, you cover the loss or the refund amount.

Drivers, insurance, and liability

  • Only drivers registered on the platform can be assigned to a trip, and you can register up to five. You are liable for negligent or wrongful actions by your driver.
  • Trips run 10 to 12 hours depending on the state, starting from the client's pickup time. You are given at least two hours' notice to prepare the vehicle.
  • Maintain comprehensive insurance if you hire a driver from Autogirl. If you use your own driver, third-party insurance is acceptable. Autogirl is not liable for damage to your vehicle during trips.
  • Keep your vehicle well maintained, regularly serviced, and compliant with all road-safety and legal requirements.

Monthly hosts

As a monthly host you appoint Autogirl to manage your vehicle under a Fleet Management Contract. The contract runs for 12 months and renews automatically on expiration unless both parties agree otherwise.

What each party handles

Autogirl is responsible for:

  • Maintenance, repairs, servicing, and the driver's salary for the duration of the contract.
  • Fuelling the vehicle and ensuring any chauffeurs are properly licensed.
  • Allowing you to inspect the vehicle once a month with prior notice.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing vehicle documentation (registration, insurance, permits, maintenance records) and comprehensive insurance.
  • Delivering the vehicle clean and in good working condition, free of mechanical defects, with all features operational.
  • Fitting a tracking device, or allowing Autogirl to install one at your expense, deducted from the first payout.
  • Allowing Autogirl to inspect the vehicle before the contract commences.

Payment and using your vehicle

  • You receive a fixed agreed amount, paid on the last day of every month.
  • If you need the vehicle while the contract subsists, give 30 days' notice. Personal use is handled by a prorated deduction; keeping the vehicle for more than two days means forfeiting that month's payment.
  • Instead of forfeiting payment, you may provide an equivalent replacement vehicle for the period you use yours.

Documents and insurance

  • Earnings are suspended immediately if required documents expire (roadworthiness certification, comprehensive insurance, or vehicle licence), and resume once Autogirl verifies valid renewals.
  • For insurance claims using our provider, downtime is split between both parties. If you use your own provider, a prorated deduction applies from 48 hours after you are informed of the incident until the claim is paid out.

Termination

  • Daily hosts: either party may terminate with 24 hours' written notice. Both parties settle any outstanding obligations and vehicles are returned in good condition.
  • Monthly hosts: either party may terminate with at least 30 days' written notice. Autogirl may complete any current booking before termination takes effect.

Confidentiality and non-compete

Both parties keep sensitive and proprietary information confidential, and agree not to poach each other's staff or customers. These obligations continue after the agreement ends.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are first addressed through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through mediation and arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act, 2023.

Acceptance of terms

Daily hosts accept these terms by completing onboarding and providing their vehicle to Autogirl. Monthly hosts accept by signing the Fleet Management Contract. The signed MOU or Contract is the binding agreement between you and Autogirl.
